Orders
Orders for items available in stock will normally be dispatched by Royal Mail 1st class delivery, on the same day the order is received
Items which are not available in stock can be ordered - delivery is usually within a few weeks from European countries but may take longer from other continents
Payment
Payment can be made by cheque, postal order, Switch, Mastercard or Visa
Online payments are processed using Sellerdeck Payments and Clearaccept -
which meets all current PCI requirements - We commit to the payment on dispatch of goodsGoods can be sent out on invoice (UK Addresses only) - in which case payment is due within 30 days
Returns
We guarantee replacement or refund for goods which are found to be faulty or damaged. Refunds will be processed when the goods are returned and received at The Map Shop.
Goods must be returned unused, within seven days.
Postage & Packing Charges

United Kingdom
Maps will normally be sent by first class, Large orders, heavier books and atlases etc, by Parcelforce according to weight. For bulky packages to be delivered by Parcelforce, please where possible supply a business address for the delivery.
With all of our postal charges the amount shown in the shopping basket will be the maximum charged. We will check rates before dispatch and the postal charge will be amended accordingly. Please contact us before ordering if you would like a confirmed amountFolded Paper Maps
We charge £3.00 for the first map ordered and then 40p per extra map.Larger Items showing an asterisk (*) e.g. Globes etc
There is a charge of £17.00 each -
To Europe - Airmail Printed Paper - Tracked - Rates
£18.00 for one map to a European address by tracked Airmail, We have had to adjust our postal rate as there is now a surcharge for dispatching to Europe, the quoted postal rate shows the maximum charge, which will be checked and adjusted before dispatch.
Please note that we are unable to send rolled maps which are longer than 90cm to overseas addresses, please contact us if you have any queries. -
Outside Europe - Airmail Printed Paper - Tracked - Rates
£20.00 for one map to any other overseas address by tracked Airmail. In the same way as Europe we have had to adjust our postal rate as there is now a surcharge & customs for parcels travelling to some countries outside of Europe, because the rates are different country by country the quoted postal rate shows the maximum charge, which will be checked and adjusted before dispatch.
Please note that we are unable to send rolled maps which are longer than 90cm to overseas addresses, please contact us if you have any queries.
Postal charges can be confirmed by email or telephone. The shopping basket will give a standard rate for postage, if any deductions or other changes to the postal rate are applicable you will be notified by email or telephone.
