Download option included with each map
You can now get your paper map on your
mobile phone. The mobile app is GPS enabled for route planning and
recording.
A new generation of walking maps from your national mapping agency, Ordnance Survey, the entire
Landranger & Explorer series has now appeared in this format since early in
2016.
To take advantage of the mobile download you will need a fairly recent Apple or
Android smartphone or tablet. The app is free from your app store, and the
new maps include a unique code to allow download of your map. Once
downloaded you can plan and save routes, follow existing routes or record your
journey. The app also provides a built in compass and place name search.
